1. General Information

• Serendip Trails provides tourism-related services, including tour packages, custom tours, and travel assistance within Sri Lanka.
• By booking our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Bookings and Payments

• To confirm your booking, a deposit of 50% of the total package cost is required. The balance must be paid 7 days before the start of the tour.
• Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit cards, or other accepted methods listed on our website.
• All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

At Serendip Trails, we strive to offer a flexible and fair cancellation policy to ensure the best experience for our valued customers while maintaining the integrity of our services.

3.1 Free Cancellations

• 100% Refund: Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the tour date will be fully refunded.
• 50% Refund: Cancellations made between 3 to 6 days prior to the tour date will receive a 50% refund.
• No Refund: Cancellations made less than 3 days prior to the tour date are not eligible for a refund.

3.2 Exceptions

• Weather or Natural Disasters: If a tour is canceled due to severe weather or natural events, customers can choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
• Medical Emergencies: Proof of an unavoidable emergency (e.g., medical documents) may qualify for partial or full refunds on a case-by-case basis.

3.3 Rescheduling

• Tour dates can be rescheduled for free up to 5 days before the scheduled tour date, subject to availability.

4. Changes to Itinerary

• Minor changes to itineraries may be requested up to 48 hours in advance, subject to feasibility and availability. Additional costs may apply.
• Serendip Trails reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, safety concerns, or government restrictions. Any changes will be communicated promptly.

5. Travel Insurance

• Serendip Trails does not provide travel insurance. Travelers are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance from a reputable provider to cover unforeseen events such as medical emergencies, trip cancellations, or lost belongings.

6. Liability and Responsibility

• While we strive to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, Serendip Trails cannot be held responsible for:
  • Delays, cancellations, or changes due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, or political unrest).
  • Loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings during the tour.
  • Injuries, illnesses, or accidents that occur during the tour.
• Customers are responsible for their own safety and must adhere to the guidance provided by our staff.

7. Health and Safety

• Travelers are required to disclose any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or other special requirements at the time of booking.
• Adherence to safety guidelines provided by Serendip Trails staff is mandatory.

8. Intellectual Property

• All content on our website, including images, text, and branding, is the property of Serendip Trails and may not be used without our written consent.

9. Governing Law

• These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
